Swap 5.3 into 8.1 2006 2500 wiring connections same?

I am looking at a 2006 Chevy 2500 that HAD a 8.1 in it, owner pulled engine trans to swap into something else I would be installing a 5.3 /4L60E or a 6.0/4l60E are the connectors compatiable? what else should I know? I've done LS swaps into older stuff but not this Thanks Jim

Nope. Not even close. 8.1 has a 4l80e or alison transmission and it is a big block. I am not %100 certain on the engine portion. The transmission is a no go. A 2500 is way too heavy for a 4l60

you'd be far better off finding a 8.1 and trans just like the one that came out of it
