Can I use my 99 5.3 Silverado ECM with a 05 Flex fuel 5.3 engine?

Picked up a 2005 5.3 out of a Yukon XL with flex fuel capability, but it was missing all of the other components. Can I use the ECM out of my 1999 5.3 Silverado with the engine as long as I have the 99 cable throttle body and 4L60E transmission?

throttle body will not fit on a 03 up intake that has the electronic throttle body...to simplify things you'll need a intake from a throttle body setup, other than that the engines are the same

I have the intake that and throttle body that came off the 99 Silverado that I got the ECM, harness and fuel lines from.

The '99 ecm won't run the 05 stock setup, but!

you can swap intakes, make the '05 a dbc and run the '99 pcm and wiring.
So yes, you can if you change the '05 to dbc.
