    1993 K1500 cluster swap

I have a 1993 k1500 swb chevy truck. it has the v6 in it. cluster don't have rev tac and is nothing like the 5.7l trucks. anyone point me in direction on how to swap my v6 cluster to the v8 cluster? I got the v8 cluster out of a 92 chevy truck sitting on my shelf staring at me. cant find any threads on it. I already put the 5.7l in it.

thanks for any help with advice or thread copy and paste's.

It's a direct bolt in but the tach will be off since you're putting out a v6 signal, not the v8 signal. They have different resistances. I've always been told, v6 for a v6, v8 for a v8. Most guys that do a v6 swap for a v8 have tach issues until they swap in a v8 cluster so I'm assuming you'll run into the same issues

This may help with giving the right values for the tach
