    Torque pattern for 4L80 pan

Does anyone know what the torque pattern is for the 4L80 pan bolts? Also, do I need to lubricate the gasket with trans fluid prior to installation?

~ Forged engine of some type ~ Ball bearing turbo of an unconfirmed size ~ 4L8000 trans ~ Beefy fuel system ~

not sure but if you look at most torque patterns on anything weather it be heads or intake or water pumps etc, 99 percent of the time they start from center and work their way out or start center and try to tighten all sides evenly in basically an X type pattern. and they also do at least two passes starting at a lower torque rating working your way up each pass to compensate for gasket crush. I wouldnt worry too much about getting it PERFECT though. its just an oil pan. not much pressure in there. just do it and check it a few days/week later. if its leaking, dryit up and silicone the hell out of it.... HAHAHAHAHA

On second thought. maybe you do need to torque that thing down since you have a 4L8000 trans.... that thing must be one insane transmission!
