2000 Durango gets Zl1 with 6L80 and AWD.

I haven't been on this site since last time I did a Dodge to LS swap. The 1999 Dakota R/T I built runs fantastic. Using a 6.0 with 6L80, I added an LS9 cam with car intake, and run about 12.5 at 107 all day long.

    Moving on.

2000 Durango SLT with 180k miles and a worn-out 5.9. I know the motor looks clean but it was eating about a quart a week. Body is superb.

    Yeah, that's bad.

    LSA rotating assembly

    LSA crankshaft

And supercharger to make it a ZL1

    Pulleys

Trans and transfer case installed for measurements

    Engine is in

    Trans painted and ready

Transfer case painted. 6 gear planetary was swapped in with 32-spline input shaft

    Trans is in

That is as far as it is so far. I have ordered wiring, driveshafts, and gauges. And I have a bunch of little things to do.

Nice build! Everything looks really clean, including the Durango. I have a feeling you'll surprise a few people on the street.

Thanks. I went with the Durango this time to see if the SUV body will be more rigid. Also, a little shorter wheelbase, nice leather interior, and will have front and rear A/C.
