    Tci 399754 flexplate ls1 engine to 4l80e

    Hi Guys I have a tech ?
I purchased a TCI flex-plate for my truck after i found out that my stock one is cracked.
here is a few details on my build.

    1. Truck stock 2003 chevy 1500 extra cab 2wheel drive
    2. engine LQ4 6.0L (Magnacharger) swap from LS1 4.8L
    3. 4l80e swap from 4l60e
    4. 4x4 conversion manual tcase
    5. nelson performance tuned for the swaps (street strip)
    6. factory style flat flex-plate with gm spacer and all stock bolts (summit racing)
    7. stock 4l80e 4x4 tranny no shift kits (plain jan) has reman sticker on it when i got from dismantling yard

The question is. Has any one ever used this plate? and does anyone know how the install goes.

TCI says that this is the plate for a LS1 to 4L80e

    Well guys.
I gues no one has done this before, but here it goes.
I got the flex-plate installed. The thing works great. Put a new starter in at the same time and all new tranny bolts. One big problem the lower cover for hits the new torque convector bolts. on the back side of the flex-plate. You have to machine off the fines that go around the starter and on the drivers side. as a result you must reuse the plastic covers from the 4l60 if you don't want gaps.
