Will LS6/LS3 springs work with Comp 54-451-11 cam

Looking to pick up a little cam for my 4.8 reg cab and don't want to run too much spring. Specs are 208/212 dur and .554/.558 lift with 115 lsa. Trying to give the daily a little boost in power with a set of cleaned up truck heads with 2.00 intake valves and a NNBS truck intake. Reason for this cam choose is so I don't have to run a higher stall converter or gear change. Trying to go for fuel mileage and I will be installing a 05+ rad/elec fans and UD pulley.

Have you thought about the comp xr265hr? It's a 212/218 .522/.529 114. Would run great with stock stall and ls6 springs. And has a nice little lope to it

Found the cam on Craig's for a good price. I have dual 600 lift springs I can use but don't want to waste then on a cam that doesn't need them.

That route would be way better than chancing your engine with springs that might or might not work

Check out the Stage 1 truck cam from Lil Johns Motorsports. Has lower lift so it will be safe with blue springs, tighter LSA, and +2 advance, so it should be better suited for use in an truck.

How good of a price is the cam? Blue springs will work, but they'll be close to coil bind.

I'm no expert but I would get a set from lingenfelter. They have "spec" springs for the ls9 can that I put in my truck. It's almost the same lift as what you have. Not sure of the part number but they were blue in color. I think they were around 65- 70 bucks. The spec springs are supposed to be checked by them to make sure they won't coil bind on the ls9 cam. Hope this helps.
