    4l80 build + converter

Bout to 4l80 swap the SS. Going with a complete rebuild with borg warner clutches, an hd2 shift kit, jakes trans brake. The cam i have 227/236 .613 .578 113+3, I ran a single disc yank 3600 with the 65 which worked fine at the power level i was at. Which converter would best suit my needs? I know I definitly want a lockup converter, Something super strong. Im switching to a super vic intake, some 243's, and sold my 90mm plate kit to upgrade to a steve johnson sledgehammer plate. last setup was good for 11.70's but I had not even began to read plugs and dial in the nitrous. She is going on a diet now and upping the pill to get me deep into the 11's. looking for some suggestion on parts to get me there.

I was thinking something very similar. Precision quoted me a decent price. Wonder if I should have the converter built to a 60e plate or put an 80 plate on? Should I apend the coin on an sfi unit as well?

I'm swapping to an 80e and was wondering do I need to swap my driveshaft for an aftermarket one or should I just cut mine down. I have a '00 Chevy rcsb with a 6.0 swap. The reared will be getting tru trac and 4.10's. I'm no where near that fast but just want a reliable daily. The engine is a 6.0 w/ .030 overbord, RHS 225 heads, torquer v2 cam, fast 102 setup, pacesetter 1 3/4 lt.

http://www.driveshaftspecialist.com/...uckmaster.html has the ds-1 for $245- $315. Thanks for the help.

I believe with a simple cut down yoke you are good to go.

My extended cab went 10.64 on a crossbar plate with .060 jets a couple years ago.. Recently had Steve Johnson flow my plate with a trashcan solenoid I was impressed with all the little things they do.. Your truck 2wd or awd?
