Taking into consideration of what you said, I'd say a 2800 with a big trans cooler.

What brand I'm debating between circle d and fti. When I rebuild my Tran I was going to bypass my factory transfer cooler and Run a bigger external one
i always had a great success with circle-d
Simple: 408 on steroids!
single digits coming soon!
Ive only used a circle d 3200 converter so....Circle D
4.8, TSP 220, 6L90 swap, 3400 Stall, 4.10s w/30" drag radial and T76 @ 16lbs.
Best ET 11.54@114 w 1.52 60ft

Tight 2800 and big cooler like Allen said!
Thank you I'll be ordering one here shortly
For me I stuck with stock converter as my enclosed trailer with my truck inside isn't light.
My truck has a 218/218 in it and stock stall is fine for driving least for me
