what are you running for an OBS oil pan?

got my 97 truck lowered 4/6 and the stock truck oil pan has smacked the ground a few times and i want to get a shorter one before something bad happens. what are you guys running? i was just gonna order a ls1 pan but it looks like the sump gets moved forward and i'm not 100% sure it wont hit the frame. the hummer pan doesnt look to bad but its only 3/4 inch shorter according to the ls1tech thread.

I've got the hotrod/h3 pan. It's really is only about 1" shorter than the truck pan. It's also about half the price of an f-body pan. There's a few around here running sectioned truck pans.

Does it hang below the frame?

where did you get it from? i saw a few sets with pan gasket pickup and other parts for $150 on ebay for the hummer pans but they only look 3/4" shorter and 1/2 quart less oil

It prob does hang down maybe 1/2" below crossmember, hard to tell here's a couple pics
Looking straight down the middle from the front. Can barely see it peeking below crossmember

From angle behind tire can see it hangs down maybe 1/2" although kinda looks more it's not.

I think I gave $125 for mine off ebay, was new, the f-body setups usually run about $250 or so, but like you said earlier, the sump is longer, I don't know if it would clear crossmember front to back. I think it's pretty much the best option unless you want to section the stock pan. Could probably maybe put some washers in between mounts and adapters and gain another 1/4" if wanted to get it tucked up a lite more. I don't know if I'm as low as yours, but I don't really feel uncomfortable about driving it. I'm pretty sure the big block pan was below the crossmember.

The F-body pan will work, I'm using one with 1" setback motor mount plates.
