got the LS2 pickup back to the track - VID

the first time was trash. SAR shootout I had an awesome hooking track and broke an exhaust valve spring on my first pass. so on 7 cylinders, lean and on low timing it went 11.62@115.

got it running on all 8, richened it up and haven't touched the timing yet.

1.54 60' and 6.86 1/8. this is an all motor pass off the foot brake. I wired my trans brake and discovered my 4600 converter is actually a 6,000 rpm converter don't think i'll hook that. anyways, i think i can lean on the AFR a little more and add another 3-4* of timing.

oh and this is on mickey Thompson drag radials! 6.86 is roughly a 10.7-10.8 1/4 mile driving it exactly how i drive it on the street.

Not sure why it hopped to the right. It wasnt tire pressure. I set the traction bars with nobody on the drivers seat. Maybe thats why? Or possibly the track? Right after the launch that guy walks over looking at the ground.

Either way i think i can get the truck down to a 6.50 n/a by leaning on it a little, more timing, tightening the front suspension some to keep the front tires on the ground, and leaving on thr t-brake. Then a 200-250 shot should get me into the 5's!!

Oh, and a smaller converter. This truck wasnt built for a 6,000 converter. This 6k converter is awesome on the street though. I may have them knock it down to 5,000 while i try to make my n/a goals and 4,000 once i slap my stinger plate on. Will definately need a gear change for nitrous. I have a ton of weight to remove. If i can get to to a 10.30 n/a 1/4 i may getvrid of the nitrous and be happy.
