15x10s. Do i have my info straight?

Read so much its ridiculous. Correct me on any of this if I'm wrong.

1.). A 6.5+ backspacing is needed to tuck.

2.). Bogarts are the only wheel option with 6.5+ backspacing in a 6 lug pattern.

3.). Swapping to 5 lug gives you more wheel options. Ways to swap to 5 lug: redrill axles and hubs, swap rear ends. I heard a rumor that 8.5 obs axles may fit. Any truth to this? Any other options?

4.) If equipped with disc brakes: A 15x10 with 4.5 or less back spacing will fit with grinding the stock calipers. Anything with more back spacing than that needs the 99-02 brackets, s10 calipers, s10 brake line, pads, and grinding. Other options are a drum brake swap or a rear end swap. Any more options?

1 and 2 is right, I'm not sure about the rest. I did 15x8 Ultra type 50 with 5.25 backspacing and put a 295/65 (30x10ish)MT drag radial and they tuck nicely. The wheels look good with out the stupid center cap.

Man those do look good and they tuck good. What did you have to do with the brakes to get them to clear?

I got some 31x13x15s et drags donated to me. Not the size I would have chose, but they were free. I'm really trying to see if I can get some sort of a budget drag setup going.

Thanks, luckily mine came with drums in the rear so they clear. I had a really hard time finding a rim that would tuck that wasn't a bogart. 8" wide was all I could come up with and I'm not sure if a 13" tire would fit on an 8" rim.

Diamond industries makes 15x10 wheels with any bs you want, any 15" wheel will require grinding on the rear calipers, if not drum brake equipped. Also you can swap in any rear from older trucks, even the 14bsf 6-lug from the heavy half truck.

Bump for more info. Decided to get a 15x10 that doesn't tuck. Anyone know what backspacing will work with grinding the stock 03 disc brakes? Don't want to get a whole lot invested just yet. Would like to run some crager soft 8s.

Just swap your rear axle then for an older rear that has drum brakes and 4x4 then your problem is solved without grinding anything
