Cam Recommendation For 07 Classic 5.3l

    Hey Guys,

So I'm building a prerunner and want to cam my 5.3 Silverado 4x4. Here is a list of mods I have on the truck so far:

    -K&N CAI
    -Bullydog GT Tuner
    -TBS
-Ordered Pacesetter LTs with cat deleting y pipe and a Magnaflow cat back.

I want something that I can still use as a DD but have good low to mid range power for offroading. What do you guys recommend?

Haha with all the oil and the type of people living there it reminds me a lot of Texas. I have lived and worked in both so this is from personal experience.

Don't even need to read about your truck. 212/218 high lift.

Any more info on this cam? What type of gains can be expected? Would the oem converter need to be changed?

Possibly the most common truck cam. 50+rwhp are to be expected. It's a torquey cam with great topend. It's not a max effort cam, but doesn't give up anything in any rpm range. It would love a stall, but stock stall will be just fine.

Is this the Comp Cam that has the high & low lift version? My truck has between 21,000 - 22,000 miles on it. Would this particular cam be a remove & replace proposition? Or would I need new lifters, push rods, etc? Would this cam work well with my mods as well as the stuff I haven't installed (all in sig)?

You'd need new pushrods and valve springs. It's meant for stock trucks like yours.
