    5.3, EPS 222/226 cam. Patriot Stage 2 59cc 243's. XSPower 1 7/8 primary headers. CAI. Nitrous. Casey Rance tuned it. NV3500 school bus 5speed, G80 with 3.23's. Best it's gone is 12.2@117, on a 100 shot on worn out circle jerker slicks.

    How's that NV3500 holding up? I swapped a 6.0L in front of mine at 150k miles and was always afraid of it giving up, never did though. With the stout pressure plate I had on it, it kept breaking slave cylinders, cracking the housings! Had any trouble with that? I think I put 5 or 6 slaves in before I went to a t400. I just remember with 3.42's it would go from 25-115 in 3rd!

    Haven't had a bit of trouble with it. So many told me I'd turn it into a box of marbles. I've tried. I haven't. It just drives like a chill bus trans.

    these are the same truck - first video was after he did a 4.3 -> 454 swap, and the 2nd is after he swapped the 454 for an 8.1
    bone stock NV3500 & he drives like that all the time. he added a big turbo to it a couple years ago & all's still well.

    4L60 guys are just jealous

    hmm... then good ones must be pretty common. almost every build i've read about has held up just fine.
    heck, i even tow with mine on 33s

    I haven't had a single issue with my nv3500 96 Chev xcab 4x4 has a ho350 gm crate engine 265,000 miles he's been driven pretty hard for the 12 years I have had it. Towed way to much power shifted way to many times but just keeps on ticking.
