04 sierra will crank but won't start and electrical problems

04 sierra with 6.0 swap 210,000 miles on truck. 90,000 on motor. Truck was running fine. Parked to get out at restaurant and tried to lock with key fob but wouldn't lock. Opened the door and tried by pushing the lock button and still nothing. Put key on the ignition and tried to start it and it would crank and when the engine sounds like its gonna start it just sputters and stops. The security light is staying on also. Any suggestions??

VAT problem is what it sounds like to me. Maybe try disconnecting the battery for a while. Might get it to reset.

Kinda what I was thinking I would try. I was 200 miles from home for work when it did this earlier. Have no tools with me at all so called triple a and they're towing it home for me as I'm wrighting this lol. Luckily it covers all of the expenses.

Yeah they saves the day for sure. Gonna disconnect the battery soon as I get home and see if that resets everything.
