it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference
31 splines were in all the fullsize trucks and explorers. The explorers from '95 up had disk brakes too. Most of the s10 swap guys go for the explorer since it's a direct bolt in with vette offset wheels (and a bolt pattern change). This is the 8.8 I installed in my s10.

Usually you can do that build a well. What we usually do is use 2 left axles off the explorer,
Giving you a pinion center housing that is exactly 56" long axle to axle flange.
Here is one of many that we've done.
It's a good little build, it can handle some power being 31 spline.
With this length there is no need for such an offset wheel. These wheels are 15x8 275/60 r15s.
Here is a better shot!

You can find them in Late 60 to present ford 3/4 tons even econoline vans
Some gm trucks but your gonna have to really look!
There are alot of full floats.... But if you look you can find semi floats as well.
The older are gonna be 16 spline while newerwill be 30.
And the semis are 35.
