Help with preparing for a swap

I will be swapping my lm7 in my '00 silverado for another LM7 out of a '02 silverado.

Is there certain things i need to buy before the swap?
Is there anything I should look out for?
    What's the best method?
I've heard you can just pull the tranny/engine in one or is if easier to simply unbolt the bell housing.
    Things I might run into?
Just any hints or tips would be great.

That's the truck I'm doing the swap in

You can use any ls motor. You can do it in a day if you're mechanically inclined.

They're simple to pull. A buddy and I pulled three motors and installed two in a weekend. Probably would've been done sooner but I'd had to step away a few time before i started chunking tools.
