    Collector Car Insurance

Does anyone here have collector car insurance? I currently have USAA, and may stay with them, but I want to find a different company for my truck. I know that there are quite a few, Grundy and Hagerty are the most well known. I was told to look at these sites for some help. http://www.chubb.com/ and http://www.ambest.com/ . Any other options or opinions?

My dad has Hagerty insurance on his 32 ford, they have an policy for an agreed value of $75,000. In order to actually get the agreed value, you must have the car appraised otherwise there are worm holes.

I had a bad experience with Grundy with a vintage Triumph I had, they have one of those "no questions asked" policies. Well I totalled the bike, I had been paying on a $10,000 policy, and when all the dust cleared I only got $3,800 because I never got it appraised. Lesson learned.

Once my current project is done I will try Hagerty, another advantage to Hagerty is once you have paid for 2 years you have the ability to borrow money against the policy in the case of emergency. i.e. roof repairs, car repairs.
