Appropriate width for DR on a 15x10 wheel?

What's the best width tire to run? I was looking at 325/50-15 MT ET Street Radials but read a post on another forum that said anything wider than a 315 won't hook properly since the tire won't be flat. Would a 295/55-15 be better?

Plenty of room inside the wheel well, I just look like a cholo in the process

The best hooking drag radial you can run on a 15x10 is a MT 315/60/15. They hook better then a 325/50/15 due to greater sidewall which also allows it to work great on a 10inch rim even though it footprint is roughly the same as the 325. Its the tire Ken Herring recommended for my build. It is a 30" tire though.

Yeah I considered those but they're bigger than the tires I run on the street I figured it would be best to pass on those.

Just know wider aint always better. Rotational friction comes into play. Dont be like the stock tbss guys running 345s and barely running low 13s. That much tire is working against you.

Sounds like I should stick to the 295's for now

Here is another good option. Especially if your running the truck on the street with these since they wear slower then a MT, track only go with a slick.

I think they'll spend 90% of their life on the strip and the other bit on the street when someone wants to run

Take a pic with those on your truck, I wanna see how good they look, I have not had the chance yet to install my 295/65/15's ET Streets yet on my truck, and I wanna see how nice they look.
