I'm in Corpus right now and my ECM has locked down on a security mode. I have the battery unplugged right now and have tried a re-learn with no success. Some troubleshooting tips would be appreciated.

Any vats relearn can be done by performing the vats procedure. I've seen only a couple pcms lockdown; what code are you getting? if you're able to read it.
For each step, wait a good 10mins before turning the key off, sometimes that is required.
