    00 XCAB Speaker choice

    whats up guys?

i was wondering if running 6X9's in abox behind the seat would sound good.. instead of the 4x6 in the doors?

    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...TS-A6983R.html this is what i had in mind off a 4 Channel X 60RMS

    Encased in [http://www.amazon.com/6x9-Truck-Styl...speaker+boxes]

    or [http://www.amazon.com/Atrend-Series-...speaker+boxes]

let me know your opinions. or suggestions.

    I like these better. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-CLOSEOUT.html
However, I don't really understand why not just get some high quality 4x6 speakers? Do you have sub(s)?

Spend the money on the front stage, not rear fill. I have a set of components in the front doors with 200 watts going to each door. The people in the back can hear fine, and thats how it it supposed to be set up. Staging the music as if it were on a stage, not surround sound in a movie theater.

I have never touched my rear door speakers and have invested somewhere between $4k overall into my system. I will probably end up just filling the panel in when I pull the interior and do a full sound deadener.

If you insist on rear fill, you can put 6.5 coaxials in there and they are leaps and bounds ahead of any 6x9.

Don't waste money on a 6x9, especially for the rear. A little cutting and 6.5 with about 2.5" or less mounting depth goes in perfect.
