Alternator for obs that will mount in lsx truck bracket

Burned up 3 alternators, does anyone know if there is a 1wire alternator that will mount in the ls truck bracket. I'm using an 02 camaro 411 pcm. The 5.3 motor and harness is from an 02 tahoe. The alternators i've been trying are for an 02 tahoe. Wondering if there was a 90 something truck alternator that was 1 wire like my 87 k5 and would mount in the lsx bracket

The old alt will fit...or at least I've seen them mounted before so I can't say for sure if modification is needed.

Thanks. I got measurement last night. Bolt holes are 140 mm apart. Gonna ask the guys at auto zone to pull a couple from the mid 90s tonight and see if i get lucky. Let me know what you find out.

The bracket setup is different. You might be able to make it work. The bolt holes on the 92 are 5 1/4 inches apart.

if you're buying them from vatozone, no wonder they aren't lasting.

Agreed lol my brand new $89 eBay altenator has proven to be the most reliable so far (compared to vatozone)

Found the answer. Pin B on the lsx 4 pin alternator connector should be connected to red pcm connector pin 15. I had this wire connected to battery voltage. Out of pcm R15, this voltage is about 9 volts. Not for sure, but this is probably why i was burning up alternators, too much voltage on this wire. some pcms have two wires, another going to R75 and pin "C".
