    Don't think he was getting anything off his chest. Your asking about a 228 cam in a 5.3 that will need a decent stall. Both of which cost $$$ just like gas. Both of which will hurt gas mileage. Do your research, some one asks the same question every week. I'm not tryin to bust your balls but read up. Learn about what you have, need, and want. Then figure out how it goes together.

    Ask questions to increase your knowledge, not to solve your problems.

    Everything i have read or seen the tr220 or the tsp220 do the best in a stock 5.3.If you are just getting the cam for $250 you will also need springs and pushrods.

    I have a 220/224 575/575 on a 112lsa in my 5.7, it sounds awesome and has great power all the way through. It's a manual trans though so not sure if you'd need a stall or not. I'm sure someone has more experience with cams and stalls and would be able to advise on stall options.

    i had a 224/230 588 / 114lsa cam in my 5.3 with a 3k stall with a 60e and pulled 19mpg
    2012 Ford F-150 Ecoboost Super Crew 4x4, stock and staying that way.
