I bought this to auger holes for small sign posts, but it doesn't do well in clay and compacted soil. If anyone lives in an area or works in an area that has better soil than here in the Dallas area and might have use for this, it's a pretty nice tool. I'm a bit of a tool junkie, so it's hard to part with it, but I simply don't use it.
All I've done is started it, tried to auger a few holes, and realized it wouldn't work for what I needed. It comes with a 3" and 5" auger bit.
New these sell for about $600. Used they sell for over $300. I'm asking $300 for local pickup. If you're interested in having it shipped, let me know.
