    I cut and modified a stock mount from a 98 silverado,, I'll post more tomorrow

    Nice swap - I'm thinking about doing the same with a 96 4.3... how long did it take you once you had the majority of your parts and what was your biggest challenge that you didn't expect?

    Changing the lower motor mounts on the frame,, pain in the arse

    i know how those are..... change my old ones out when i put the new motor in.....

    I didn't want to take apart the suspension on both sides of the truck, just to access the bolts to remove the frame mounts for the engine, just to have to put it all back together again. The V-6 frame mounts are plenty stout enough to use. I simply fabbed two basic engine block mounts, to bolt to the existing frame mounts. Piece of cake.

    Nice job! I too like the better gas mileage out of the V8 vs the V6!

    Looks real good! What a blast to drive huh? I am very very interested in your A/C setup....... I've been going 2 years now on 5.3 swap in central Texas heat with NO A/C!!

    I've got belt squeal with that AC bracket,, I'm gonna drop the cash on a dirty dingo bracket when spring comes around

    Almost 2k on the swap,, love the swap and 22 mpg
