    Track times at Martin, MI

As I have driven to work the last few days in Kalamazoo, MI, I have driven by the Martin drag way aka the fastest track in Michigan. Well today out of the blue my coworker wanted to go watch the Friday night drags. I said hell, why watch when you can run. He watched as I ran down the track 3 times. The track was quite nice from start to finish it was a well run event. My truck ran a lot slower than expected, but at least I wasn't the slowest out there. I have a good baseline for the coming mods this winter. As of right now these were my times:
    60' 2.59
    330 7.34
    1/8 11.2@63.48
    1/4 17.2 @82.11
I was consistent on all 3 runs. Almost identical runs I should prolly run brackets or something I was hoping for more like 16.2, but can't expect to much out of 4.8L with nothing but long tubes a very mild tune and a one tire fire+3.42s. I also could have cleaned out 200 lbs of crap in the back seat.

Next time I go to the track at least new tires and less crap. If I can swing it a better tune and cai. Shooting for 16.5.

It was a good event for sure. I am thinking my ticking time bomb will prolly go off before the next time out. With 143xxx miles on the clock now, I know the stock (slipping) trans, and ticking valve train has its time numbered in days maybe weeks not months or years. It will be getting an 80e and 6.0 combo ASAP. Along with a baby cam and stall if funds allow. Hopefully next time I will be knocking on the door of 13s instead of 16s lol. The future looks good for sure

Forgot to mention the GTR there ran a 10.4 in true street trim along with many crazy fast dragsters, cars, and trucks. Seen from 6 second passes all the way up to a RX8 nabbing a 19 sec

With me being in Texas now and having made some improvements on my truck where should I go run. I am living in Tyler at the moment so the closer the better. I am shooting for 16.5 this round. New grippier tires, less weight(250lbs) and more aggressive tune(not by much mind you).
