new around here from wi. lookin to do an ls swap into my 95
lookin to swap an ls into my 95 k1500. have a vortec with a 600 holley in the truck now. when i get time i will put the tbi back on. i have the gmpp tbi vortec intake. i used it on the truck a few years ago but pulled the engine for a different project and havent gotten to puttin it back on as i just wanted to get the truck running. its got a .480/.488 cam in it. basically want to know if it would even pay to swap a 5.3 or 6l in it. ive also got a 42 rat rod chevy p/u i would consider the swap in. any input would help.

Welcome Johannes! I have a '95 Silverado Ext cab and fixing to bring home an '01 LS 5.3 with tranny. Once I sort out swap I'm back halving and going Pro-street. I will keep everyone updated on progress and hope to have finished within 2 years. Best part is I'm building truck myself including custom paint, back halve and engine work! Gotta love the LS platform.
