Its the 6.2 L head, casting number is 823, theyre square port and flow better, you have to change intakes, and sometimes ptv can be an issue.

so i am thinking of getting a 799 head and swapping the comp springs i have onto them. i heard that ls7 lifters and pushrods are a cheap good upgrade. looking into a cam in the 230ish range and with good lift. and a nnbs intake swap with 90 mm throttle body. what do you guys got to add or say about this setup?? also what year and motor do i want a nnbs intake from?? looking a rock auto and need a year and truck and engine to know which one to get. Thanks

Ls7lifters yes pushrods no. Nnbs intake from a 5.3/4.8.... You can get 799/243 heads off the same truck as the intake.

Yeah I think the LS7 pushrods are 3/8" not 5/16".
