LQ9 Quest for 450-500hp. Need some advise.

Hey guys my friend who is back rom overseas has a 2006 escalade with the LQ9

His goal is to hit the 450-500hp mark

Ive read a few threads doing the following.

    243 cleaned up heads milled
    long tube 1 7/8" headers
    Dual 3" exhaust
    TBSS intake manifold
    LS6 ported throtle body

Now cam choice ive seen a bunch. He wants a good idle with good gas mileage.

Anyone sugest any builds of what to do to get this power.

With a tbss intake you won't want to use the 78mm ls6 tb you will want a nice big 90mm tb.

I have a LQ9 in my 95' Here's some of the things that help me get to where I'm at. My truck is 4wd and made 403rwhp right after it was built. The truck has 1800 miles now and feels a little stronger. If I had to guess it's probably a 460-480 crank HP engine. I got 16.6 mpg on my second tank of fuel driving pretty reasonably.

    Stock bore/stroke (fly cut pistons)
    ARP rod,cam and head bolts
    MS3 Cam
    Mild ported and milled 317's
    valve job
    TBSS Intake
    Billet 90mm TB
    8.1 marine injectors
    Walbro in tank pump
    Cold air intake
    Shorty headers
Full 3'' exhaust with big body dual 3'' in/out magnaflow
    95' RC z71 DD ''wrecked''
