    tire question

    i have a 99 z71 extended cab i just put a 6.0 in it and now i need some tires it is factory height on the factory rims whats the biggest size tires i can put on it right now and what kind of tires would be best i use it about 50/50 on the road and in the mud i need sumthing that will grip good on the road and have good traction in the mud

    I think you can fit 285s if you crank the t-bars.

    Lt285/75R16 or 285/70R17 depending on you stock wheel size.. Will fit no problems, maybe a minor tbar adjustment. They might rub slightly at the rear plastic inner fender, but you can tie that back a bit and no probs etc.

    I have a 2000 year of the same truck and I had 305s on it. At the time I had the t bars cranked a few more. But 285s fit just nice. 305s were cutting it really close on stock height. I think it was 305/70.

    30s will go with no rub, I did 32 jacked the t bars with very lil rub, I have 305-65-17s pro comp Xtream MTs, mud grips will get u stuck faster but look good, also with my set up I found the weak links pretty fast lol

    im a fan of the bfg all terrain in 285's. I used to work in a custom truck shop in AL and alot of guys ran the nitto trail grappler or the mickey thompson Baja MTZ or their baja ATZ both look really good and wear well on light trucks. also im a fan of the toyo open country MT. hope this helps.

    31-10.50 but it will rub when put in a bind. 295-75 but it is all up to u!
