What are y'all paying? Called a reputable shop in Baytown...they wanted $731! Just for a F'n gear install? Any other recommendations in the Houston area? Looking for 4.30s for a g80 equipped 2011 1500. TIA!

$250-300 is about what I paid when I had mine done, $725 you sure that's not parts included?! Maybe the guy didn't understand you correctly.

I know what shop you're talking about in Baytown, they do EXTREMELY good work and are well known. I think they gave me a quote of about $800 to install a Truetrac, that's parts included.
When I get rear end work that will be the shop I go to, they also have great customer service. I went in with a question on a little project I was doing and brought the parts with me, and the guy just went ahead and did it for me free of charge (only took a few minutes).

Yes, that's everything. I'm thinking he misunderstood me about the g80. Maybe he thinks I want one, instead of having one? I was guessing $500 range?
Theres a place that Allen sent me to like 5 years ago and it was a terrible experience. I cant remember the name, they had a bunch of large trucks in there shop.

Wasn't Inland Truck, was it? They do lots of gear setups and driveshaft work.
