Gen IV plug wire on a Gen III?

Will the gen IV shorter multi-angle spark plug wire fit on a gen III motor, or are coils farther from the spark plugs on gen III's?

I've tried it on one truck and it didn't work. That truck was an 99-02. It worked on Garrisson's truck though, and its 03-07

coils are alot different from the gen 3 to gen 4 the gen 4 look like ls1 coils but way way better in design. they do use shorter wires and number 3 wire tends to lay on the header tube. u gotta mod it a little bit to make it not rub i felt the truck a little peppier when i did the swap from nbs to nnbs coils
