where did you get your engine for your swap?

    title says it all!!

I was originally planning on getting a lq4 from efienginesupply.com but it seems he doesn't reply to emails or is maybe out of business? are there other websites that have the complete engine and all parts or am i pretty much stuck with trying to find one in a local junkyard. i really want to be sure that it runs or was running before it was taken out since i don't plan on having to do a full rebuild to make it run. thanks

Just ask if they'll take the oil pan and valve covers off and turn it over by hand. If they won't, there's probably something wrong.

Your truck is like Grandpa's old axe. Had 3 new heads and 7 handles, but it's still Grandpa's old axe.

car-part.com is a pretty awesome search engine of a ton of junkyards around the country. Might give that a try.
