    transmission problem?????

I took my Denali on a about an 80 mile trip about 2 months ago. I ran fine at highway speeds but once I got into more stop and go. I noticed that my denali was hesitating while shifting. not really slipping. just staying in 1st for too long. I haven't had it on a long run since then.

Any idea what it could be.

Well it happened today when I was coming home from work. I got on it to get around some slow traffic after getting on the highway. After letting off, I could gas it yet nothing happened then all of the sudden it would hit, it happened a couple times, almost seeming like I was in neutral. it really started to drop speed until dropped it out of drive into 3 and seemed better, then started happening again. After getting off the highway it seemed to act up all the way home, ( about 2 miles) Speeds 30-40mph.
I just hope the tranny isn't going, it has 177K.

Check the DTCs to see if any codes are showing.

The only DTC that shows is IIRC 148 bank 2 lean condition. I have not had the tranny serviced since I have owned it.

Check your map sensor connection, they get corrosion in there. I had to take the connector apart, and found the crimp connection all green and fuzzy. Sometimes it worked ok, sometimes it worked half ass but hard to diagnose until it failed completely. Caused similar issues at first signs of going bad. Thought my trans was possessed.

I would replace the fuel filter and cross my fingers that the pump stays healthy.
