its coming out badazz
Man these guys do some good work!
looking good, FYI try using .035 stainless mig wire for filler. its little more workable for smaller radius's. Youll be able to get a cleaner weld to with not using as much heat and not as much black sugar
2002 Lightning - GT headed 5.5Litre w/ Twin 7665s
2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference
I could probably slow down a bit and perfect my welding skilz, but it takes a lot of time, not that it's that messy, but the entire kit will be wrapped.
I've never had a weld or pipe around it crack yet.
btw, those headers are 11g stainless, thickass stuff, had some like it on my truck a while back, kept in heat so well, plug wires leaning against the wrapped headers never melted.
not the case with this one, plenty of air insulation.
thx.

yea not saying messy, just offering a few pointers. Someone showed me that trick of using the mig wire as filler and it helps. Yea 11ga is pretty thick , 1/8" compared to the typical 16ga [1/16"] of most other tubing

Ya, gonna be a daily driver, and with texas heat, dang, it'll get hot here. that thick stuff really helps keep underhood temps down.
i'll try it on a few pieces, i have some here.

sexy build!
Haha I have felt it in another truck and its addicting that's for sure.
This truck will always remain a street truck, be driven on the street and raced at various tracks.
Even when the build past this build (which is already on the drawing board) is installed it will be a daily driver.
It'll have cold AC, etc and you'll find it running the streets of Mexico quite often.
2013 EC Silverado aka redruM (Just a couple bolt ons.)
2007 RC Silverado aka ?
1998 Trans AM aka Red Dragon
