    carbuated vortec 350

I have a 4 blot main 350 with turbo 350 2200 stall, shift kit in my 66 c10 both were rebuilt 6,000 miles ago. Later will be putting in a 700r4 with 2500 stall. Motor has stock heads, flat top pistons, Duration 252/252, Lift .425/.425 comp cam, street dominator intake, 600 edelbrock carb. 12 bolt rear 373 posi. Looking for a choopyer cam and more kick. But on a budget.
*Im wanting to buy a vortec 350 for the head and surpentine belt system and sell the rest i dont use and my old heads and intake. full motor 150k miles for $350.
*I like the sound of the 279 thumpr cam so thinking about running it (want a real choppy sound but will entertain other suggestions. (http://www.compcams.com/Company/CC/c...?csid=107&sb=2)
*now for the intake im not sure what would be best i will probably re use my 600 edlebrock carb thats on the motor now since its brand new.
*anything else you can think of for this build. not looking for a 450 hp motor maybe 350-375 tops
It will mostly be on the street but will probably take it to the track a few times just to see it run. Thanks!

kind of the wrong place for what your asking. its ls1 truck, not many gen1 sbc in here. i had a thumpr cam but sold it before i installed it in my chevelle. that cam is more sound than performance. it also takes alot of vacum might have problems if you have power brakes. a vacum pump or canister is probably needed.

only other classic truck forums i read up on is 73-87 chevytrucks and 68-72chevytrucks. i think you should stay on this forum and do an LS motor swap in your truck. would be awesome, and guaranteed to enjoy it more.
