Thread: LQ4 into a 95 K1500

    Post LQ4 into a 95 K1500

I am new to the forum, and I am working on putting a LQ4 into my 95 K1500 in place of the 5.7l TBI. I know there is a bit of wiring and mounting considerations to the swap, but I am running short on resources to work my way around them.

My first major problem right now is mounting the engine in. I have the original truck mounts and the mounts from the donor, but can't find the adaptor I need to make it all work together. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I would buy the plain engine mount adapter plates that are avaiable on ebay, bolt the engine into the truck and then fabricate tabs from the adapter plate to the motor mounts. Drill bolt holes for the frame mount location and then weld the tabs to the adapter brackets.
