    You seemed to have enjoyed pushing that piston by hand down the cylinder. I take it you're not all that mad about it?

    that motor took a ton of abuse. I'm happy about that. well over 140,000 miles, possibly more than 150,000 miles (i lost track). the guy that had it before me was fully bolted with a MS3 and 200 shot spinning 7k. i got it and spun it to 6900-7200 daily and put a few bottles through it myself. it was more than what was expected of a high mileage stock bottom end. when it spit i was more worried about the heads and cam than the shortblock. if the damage isnt too bad, i may do a cheap rebuild and keep it as a backup motor.

    Usually when a rod lets go like that, the piston meets the combustion chamber in a very ugly way. You're lucky as hell if you're heads survived.
