    buying a spare 5.3

    is 450 bucks for a complete 5.3l engine out of 2005 crew cab including all accessories, belts, sheilds, etc. a good deal. How bout a complete 5.3l from 2001 chevy with 17k miles for 600 bucks. thanks.

    water pump/ alternator/power steering pump will cost you 500 at an auto parts store. If you're getting accessories, and the motors AREN'T blown, great deal. Even if they are blown, 300-400 is a good price for bunch of spare parts.
    blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum
