Just PM me if you decide you want the stuff. I'd like for somebody that can use it to have it and I need to start getting rid of a bunch of stuff. Moving in November.

Sounds good. I know others that would probably be interested soon enough.

those heads dont flow very well, but i agree with the budge build idea. take the block to a machine shop that builds motors and see what they say they can do with the cylinder. maybe a hone and rering it with maybe new main bearings and cam bearings while you're there and its apart. just an idea. take your 5.3 heads and the mild cam you have run that combo until you save up some money for better heads/intake swap/cam swap should be a stoute DD and fun to drive/race.

Yeah the 862s will give better compression but won't flow as well. You gotta think about how much the head gaskets and bolts cost to install heads if you are wanting to put something different later. $30+ for gaskets and $40+ for bolts. For best of both I would try to find a nice set of 243s, more compression and same flow as the 317s, but then again they will cost more $$.

I have a friend that will be taken care of that at a shop. He and I are working something out as far as a cam. Its looking like I will be getting the tq'er V2 cam. As far as the flow, I will try to get the 243's or just port the hell out of the 862's. I will be spraying as well!!

I would be going to a bigger motor later, just have to start somewhere.
