    I went from 3.73--> 4.56....not 100% pleased

    Truck has 36" tires....originally had a 3.42 open, i switched to a 3.73 with a g80 about a year ago, because the price was right, and it was in better shape then my original.

    The truck was a DOG from 0-25...was quick from 25-45, and HAULED from 45-62 when it shifted into 2nd gear. Was a dog until about 90, and then pulled semi-decent.

    NOW...its OK from 0-20, DECENT from 20-40, shifts to 2nd, OK until about 60, and then DECENT until 80.

    I KNOW the truck is 'faster' but it FEELS slower. It has a much more constant pull, and doesn't drop off at higher speeds NEARLY as much....but jumping on it at 30, and flying until 40 ***SHIFT*** suuuuucks. I miss romping on it at 30, and flying all the way until 60.

    Besides that...the true-trac is amazing. Even around turns, if it's dry, both chirp, hook and go. It was STORMING earlier, and I was messing around. Just stabbing the pedal around a turn it wanted to spin out. LEFT or RIGHT. Before (with factory g80) it only did it turning LEFT lol.

    Did you retune the shift points for the new gears?

    I think you are just feeling more consistent power rather than coming into the power band later.
    Less sensation of accel even though you may be going faster, if that makes sense.
