    strip tires options?

ok iv been looking into some tires for the strip. I have 2 sets of wheels. my setup is in my sig. i have the 16" factory wheels i picked up off a buddy. I also have the foose 20's. i know the advantages of the 16 would be weight and tire selection. Im looking for the right height/width tire for the 16's to cross the line in the upper rpms. I dont want to run out of gear, and want to get the max out of my setup. who can give me the right tire combo and what is a good tire for the price.

26" X 10.50R16 is all they show for a 16" wheel in the ET street radial tire.

28" X11.50-16LT is what they have for a ET street tire, but you would prolly wanna run a tube with this tire.

Depends, do you want a 28" tall tire, or a 26" tall tire.

I wouldn't do the radial. I would do the bias ply. The 26 10.5 is gonna look small on there. With those gears the 28 would be much better. Yeah with the tube in them mine never lost air. I just got rid of a set of 26x 10.5 16

id run a ET radial. Friend ran their 27.5" tall drag radial. with the 6speed youll need to slip the clutch out of hole to get best results with the radials.

bias ply and radials dont mix well, youll get sway on the big end, unless your a bias ply tire up front.

with the 488s and that cam in the 4.8 plan to spin 7500 rpms which will give you some room on the big end. 30" tires and 7500 rpms is good for 136 mph in 4th.
