We've done this swap several times already, thanks for the help Greg, but I had a question.

What you doing about the PRDL switch? The dash doesn't read the correct gear and a TCM code appears, Transmission Range Switch.

The 60e prindle fits right on the 80e and works perfectly. I cannot imagine why the one you did did not work.

hmmm, we used the 60 switch and the dash doesn't show the correct underlined gear.
    maybe we did something wrong.

yeah, probably just don't have it aligned properly or need to adjust the shift cable.

Not sure exactly what determines an autotrac, but we're doing a 2007 4wd right now. It has the MP2303 transfer case, selectable range switch and nobody has the input gear for it.
But we have it all apart and i'm pretty sure we got the right gear coming in monday; we'll post up a how to or how it turns out.
The NP case has been done, as we know. As far as I know, this case hasn't

There were two options for this case, the 80e and 60e, the 80e has a 32spline and the 60e has the 27 spline.
The GM exploded pic shows the 32spline being an option, that's we ordered.

Can't wait to see it work!

Let me know because I'm wanting to do this. I just didn't want to be the guinea pig and do it on my DD while I'm in school.

Latest update (Allen can give you specific details but it was my truck they were working). We had to go with a 3/4-ton transfer case. The stock tcase (MP3023) would not work. They tried a different input shaft and different planetaries but the case itself would not work with the new parts. 4x4 does not work right now but it's just a switching/electronic issue. No appreciable difference with the 80e versus the 60e. The insurance factor is nice to have though!
