    Used a hypertech hyperpac today

Friend let me borrow it for fun. It has a dynometer and 1/8 mile run deal.

I tried it in 70 degree weather and it says i run a 9.9 in the 1/8 at i think 76 mph. it also said 284 hp but then i did dynometer and it said 255hp.

Anyone think its decently accurate? Its def fun to play with id never buy one though. I tried again tonight and its 56 outside and ran a 10.7 in the 1.8 because i was spinning and have skinny tires.

Mods are in the sig no hp tuners yet. its a 4.8 reg cab.

285 at the motor is prolly accurate. A 4.8L with no tune should be at that mark at the motor.

Yea i thought it seemed pretty accurate. I don't know why the dyno run part says its lower but not really sure what your supposed to do it just says go lol and i floor it.

When i get some more gas im gonna make some more runs to see if the 1/8 mile will be close to what it was the first time or not.

that 1/8 mile time at 76 doesn't sound anywhere near right unless u was spinning bad

open diff i assume. no locker. well i took the hypertech off the other day and have just been using it to read iats and tranny temps, i think i get better gas mileage with it off lol

Soon as i add some more performance parts im gonna use this thing again not for the tune but to see if my time changes any

my 4.8l's mpg took a nose dive with the hypertech tune. and performance was terrible, so i just left the stock tune in with the tranny pressure boosted and it was flawless. But!! i then installed the hypertech 87 octane tune on my dads 05' k1500 4x4 with 5.3l and it gets almost 3 more miles to the gallon. not really sure how that all happened. but its kinda hit or miss with generic tunes like the hypertech.
