    Do I really need...

a higher stall torque converter? Or an aftermarket cam kit? My plans for the truck are daily driver, and may only see 20 or less passes a year at the track. The truck is a 1990 with an LS1/4L60E, 3:42 gears, Eaton LSD, and electric fans.
But if I do. This is what I am thinking of going with, this cam 224/224 .581/.581 114 LSA, or the Old Man Truck Cam 214/220 .600/.523 115 LSA, with this stall 3000 (Circle-D), Trans-Go kit. I may also go with 4:10 gears. Do I need the 4:10's or will I be able to get away with the 3:42's for now? 15" wheels for now, undecided on the tire size. So what do you think? I figured instead of asking I would just do a little bit of reading and make a choice. Then I could take suggestions for a better choice of cams, torque converter, and gears. Forgot to add, I may also get some underdrive pulleys. Thanks Art...

Go big or go home. To reap the benefits of the cam and stall I would go with 4.10s
