    Awesome day at work...

Not. A 40 foot joint of 10" poly pipe fell on my hand. Luckily, only one finger was damaged. It's broken. The end of it was split and a lot of meat was pushed out. When it happened, I didn't even know I smashed it. It just instantly went numb. Four stitches later, I'm as good as new.

    To the hospital...

Actually I bet that sucks! It looks like the finger got cut short and is now a midget finger.

That's awesome! It's called conditioning the body! The more it happens, the more you get used to it!

    Keep it up!

Haha, I'm no stranger to injuries. This one pissed me off because it meant I couldn't go back to work... but then I realized that its 100 degrees out and I was actually happy. My boss told me if I didn't want to work today I should have called in sick instead of hurting myself lol.

I didn't go through the whole comp thing. It wasn't worth it. I've had enough medical problems this year already that I've met my deductible on my insurance so I just filed it on there. My boss did swing by and pay for my meds though. A whopping 16$ for two bottles of pills, neither of which was a schedule 2-5 drug, which blew.
