What is special with the 5.3 in police yukons?

I've found a 5.3 that came out of a 2003 state patrol gmc yukon. Is there anything special with it? Or would it just be an HO version. The guy is just taking offers on it. Any thoughts?

No doubt on that. Just trying to see what was different. Google isn't being too nice to me with this search.

I would not touch it if you gave it to me. I have bought retired police cars before. I lost my but on them. They sit and idle for days on end.

yep emergency vehicles do not make good drivers, or even parts cars, although sometimes there is some cool stuff to be had on them

Internals should be stock. They don't have a speed limiter. That's about it.

No difference from the factory except it's mounted in behind a PCM with a much higher speed limit than stock and in front of a know it all with a badge and a gun that will take WFO 5363 times per day.

the only difference between police vehicles and consumer vehicles is that the speed limiter has been adjusted for approx. 130mph(depending on wut tires are on them)....and a suspension change thats it...everything else is the same.
