    6.0 conversion in my 90ss

    i have a 90 454ss and i am planning on doing the 6.0 conversion with the 4l80e and was wondering if anyone could give me some info. i already know about the motor mounnt plates and the ac conversion. i have the 6.0 and the complete wiring harness but still looking for the trans. any ifo will help

    You're sure going to make some purists cry, destroying a 454ss.

    what do you need to know about the 80e? Is your harness and PCM already set up for the 80e?

    What tranny do you have now?

    i still have the stock th400 and a 700r but the 700 is blown and the 400 slips.
    i posted the same thing on the 454ss club web site and no one answered back but ther are endless opertunities with these motors and not to mention emmissions are a bitch with a carburated motor witch i have in it now

    if you wanna save money, get the th400 built, and get a 6.0. Thats my plan.

    i want the overdrive evn though the 400 with the gearvender overdrive is awsome but i want to do something different. i may make some enemies doing this but there are no good or cost effective options with feul injection with the mark v big block

    and i thoght the bell housing is deferent on the 6.0

    I think only one bolt hole is different. All you should need is a 98 ls1 flexplate I think. Or a different verter. BTW do you have gear vendors with your th400? If so... I call dibs
