I am going to add one thing:

After everything is installed...let it idle for a minute...then oar through the gears...
From P to R, then back to P
From P to N, then back to P
From P to D, then back to P

Do this all the way down to 1. This will help get fluid everywhere before you go driving it.

great write up.. but those connectors on the neutral safety switch you couldnt get off? they are weather connectors.. heat them up with the Mrs' hair drier, and the come apart easy.. you also heat them up with the hair drier to get them back together.. a little hint I got from FLT and Danny.

I had to do that on mine. But my buddies 06 I installed the stall in a few weeks ago, I didnt have to use a hair dryer. The plugs were dif than my 03.

They stopped putting glue in them in 04 or 05. Here's another tip, after heating them to get them apart, use some choke cleaner on the plugs to clean off the glue. You won't have to heat them the next time.
