    I am running 2001 1500HD CC 6.0.
    3.73 posi trac
    headers
Cat back exhuast 2-7/8 true duals
    FIPK
    Nelson duel fuel tune

In 1st gear and power braking the truck, no matter what pavement conditions (other than wet) the truck will not break the tires loose. I have P275/R65 tires on the truck. Is the truck just to heavy?

I'd change the gears to 4.10s, first of all.
    Anyone else?

That's a good idea, I saw a set sell for 50.00 this week. I am also going with the 93 hot tune in the next couple of weeks. I guestimate that I am running about 325 FWHP. I may need the gear and more HP?

i assume you have an auto tranny,if you want to break em over you prolly gonna have to go with the 410's and maybe change to a diff torque converter and go with the 93 tune that i think you have already in the works.my 02' seems to have more torque and hp than other trucks its size and diff year for some reason.it doesnt leave a long burn out but it does leave some rubber down even with these 33.5s and it is as heavy as yours as they are the same truck accept diff years.

Well, one problem is you have a very good rear "disc" brake. Not like the the drums of old. Overall it is a bad idea to power brake em' with rear discs, it will destroy your tranny if anything.

Your best bet to lite em' up is to just punch it from a stand still.

Never thought about the rear disc. Sounds like:
    4:10 gears
    Stall converter
    93 hot tune

For about 1000.00 bucks I should be able to destroy the tires at will?

I know that all it took for me was the 93 tune! I have FIPK2,Flows,93 Nelson(0 TM),Transgo+vette, cooler and 3.42's(will be 4.10's thursday) and before the Nelson tune I couldnt spin tires but with it I can do it almost anytime and I know I will be able to at will with the 4.10's. I know your truck is a little heavier than mine and you have headers so the 93 will do the trick and the 4.10's will melt them!

Removing torque management is a must but you better beef up the tranny first or you will be getting a rebuild pretty quick.

I wish my Trans Am had that problem, I can't hook unless I use E/T streets.
And if those 3.73 will fit my 1500 CC NOT HD I'll take em when you get your
    4.10's.
